The Schaumburger Zeitung is currently reporting on the construction progress of SMA Tech GmbH in Rinteln Süd. The focus: the creation of 40 new jobs in one of Germany's most future-proof industries.
A state-of-the-art production hall with an adjoining office building is currently being built at the new site on Stükenstrasse - a total of 4,750 m² of space for technology, production and collaboration. Production is scheduled to start as early as summer 2025.
"We are well on schedule. We want to move into the new hall and offices at the end of July, or early August at the latest, and celebrate the inauguration in mid-August"
said Georgine Scheidt, owner and managing director of SMA Tech and Scheidt.
Aluminium doors and ventilation grilles are manufactured that are specially designed for use in transformer stations - an important contribution to the energy transition. Qualified specialists are needed for these tasks: New jobs are being created in Rinteln in production, logistics, technology and administration.
The first job interviews are already underway to strengthen the growing team at the new site. The existing employees from the plant in Niedernwöhren will be gradually taken on and support the familiarisation process.
The new office building is also geared towards modern working structures: Open-plan work areas with desk sharing, home office options and a spacious social area create a flexible and collegial working atmosphere. This part of the building also houses changing rooms, showers and break rooms as well as the reception and the central server room.
Inauguration planned for August - expansion already in sight:
With the investment of around eight million euros, SMA Tech is laying the foundations for further growth. An additional production hall is already being considered in order to increase capacity in the long term.
